Markee Tate

Markee Tate’s work focuses on entrepreneurship, public policy and advancing economic opportunities for Black-owned businesses. He currently serves as President of Advancing Black Businesses and is a longtime leader of the Atlanta Black Chambers, where he has served as Chair of the Governing Board. Through his advocacy, Markee works to support the creation and growth of competitive and sustainable Black-owned businesses through education, business opportunities and public policy initiatives.

In addition to his civic and advocacy work, Markee is an entrepreneur and serves as Principal and Managing Partner of TRF Services, LLC, a tax preparation, accounting and insurance services company with operations in Georgia and Tennessee. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he worked as a General Manager in the food sales and environmental services industries in the Atlanta market. Markee began his professional career with Tennessee State Parks, where he served as a Park Manager.

Markee has also emerged as a voice on public policies affecting Black entrepreneurship, access to capital and wealth creation. He has testified before the Georgia State Senate on federal funding issues and has written publicly about policies affecting Black businesses and economic mobility.

A native of Tennessee, Markee earned his degree from Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a four-year football letterman. His experience as a student-athlete remains part of a career defined by leadership, entrepreneurship and service to the business community.
