Anthony Williams II

Anthony Williams II is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), where he leads the national organization’s strategy, advocacy, partnerships and efforts to expand academic and professional opportunities for Black law students. Williams was elected Chair at NBLSA’s National Convention and was also recognized as the organization’s National Executive Board Member of the Year.

Williams is a third-year student at the University of Alabama School of Law, pursuing a dual Juris Doctor and Master of Accounting degree. His interests span corporate law, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, financial services and business strategy. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Alabama and participated in the university’s Crimson Entrepreneurship Academy. He has also gained professional experience with KPMG.

Leadership has been a consistent thread in Williams’ career. As an undergraduate, he served as president of the University of Alabama Black Student Union, treasurer of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Black Business Student Association, and CFO of the Bronzeville Foundation. His academic distinctions include the University of Alabama Black Faculty & Staff Association’s Dr. Archie Wade Award and, more recently, a Best Paper designation in Partnership Tax Law. Williams has publicly credited his faith for guiding his accomplishments and leadership journey.

Now at the helm of NBLSA, Williams is focused on strengthening the Black law student community and helping prepare the next generation of attorneys, advocates and business leaders for success.
