Benjamin Middleton
Benjamin Middleton is an attorney and entrepreneur whose practice focuses on business, entertainment, defamation and intellectual property law. Based in Atlanta, Middleton owns and operates a boutique law firm where he advises clients on legal matters at the intersection of business, creativity and intellectual property, bringing an entrepreneurial perspective to his work with businesses and creatives.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in Saint Stephen, South Carolina, Middleton is a proud graduate of South Carolina State University, where he earned his degree in 2006. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2019. His professional and civic affiliations include the National Society of Pershing Rifles, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.
Middleton extends his legal expertise to communities that may otherwise face barriers to representation. Through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, he assists low-income Atlanta residents navigating landlord-tenant matters. He also volunteers with Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, helping underserved creatives better understand contracts, protect their work through copyright and trademark registration, and establish business entities. His service reflects a broader commitment to making legal resources more accessible to both individuals and Atlanta’s creative community.
Away from his legal practice, Middleton maintains his own creative pursuits. He composes music and manages a YouTube channel reviewing film and television, interests that give him a personal connection to the creative industries his practice serves. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, balancing his work as an attorney and advocate with the roles of creator, entrepreneur and family man.
