Valeria Obi

Valeria Obi currently serves as Senior Counsel for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC, where she oversees all employment-related legal matters. Additionally, she advises on health, safety and environmental issues, drafts and reviews commercial contracts, conducts internal investigations, develops and implements policies, delivers employee training, and provides broader commercial legal support across multiple business units.

In addition to her corporate work, she is a dedicated leader in the legal community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and as Treasurer of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Valeria is also Member-at-Large of the National Bar Association and serves on Florida State University’s Black Alumni Board and Stetson University College of Law’s Alumni Advisory Board. She is a Vice Chair of The Florida Bar’s Corporate Counsel Committee and serves on the Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Professionalism. She remains an active member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a Past President of both the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association and the George Edgecomb Bar Association. She is also past Chair of The Florida Bar Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Her service and leadership have earned her multiple honors, including Florida State University’s Young Alumni Award, the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 and Top Corporate Counsel Awards, the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division’s Most Productive Young Lawyer Award and their 36 Under 36 Award, and the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 – Nation’s Best Advocates Award. In 2024, she received the Florida Bar President’s Award of Merit, and the National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Rhonda R. Williams Professionalism Award. In 2025 she also received the National Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Division Outstanding Corporate Counsel Award.
