Nina A. Ego-Osuala

Nina Ego-Osuala, Esq. is an attorney and community leader whose professional and civic work reflects a commitment to service, excellence, and creating opportunities for others.

Nina serves as a General Attorney with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), where her practice focuses on matters arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). She handles complex matters involving pension plans, fiduciary responsibilities, plan administration, litigation, investigations, and protecting retirement benefits for American workers and retirees. Prior to joining PBGC, Nina served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence V. Hill, Jr.

Beyond her federal service, Nina is committed to the legal community and public service. She has held leadership roles within the Washington Bar Association (WBA), including serving as Treasurer and supporting the organization’s communications efforts. Through WBA, Nina has contributed to initiatives focused on strengthening the organization, supporting its members, expanding professional opportunities, and advancing the legacy of one of the nation’s oldest bar associations dedicated to Black attorneys and their communities.

Among Nina’s greatest accomplishments is the life she has built beyond her professional titles. She is a proud first-generation Nigerian-American, wife, and mother of two daughters. Together with her husband, she is raising a family grounded in faith, purpose, education, service, and their Nigerian heritage. She considers balancing motherhood, marriage, an accomplished legal career, and meaningful community service among her most significant personal victories.

Nina earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law and holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts from the University at Albany. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
