Desireē J. Hall

Desiree J. Hall is an Attorney II with Progressive House Counsel, where she focuses her practice on insurance defense and civil litigation. In this role, Ms. Hall represents insureds and also protects the interests of the company throughout the litigation process. Her practice is grounded in strategic case assessment, and a commitment to providing effective legal representation.

Ms. Hall was admitted to the practice of law in 2021 and began her legal career with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Salisbury, Maryland which later led her to Rockville, Maryland. As an Assistant Public Defender, she represented clients at every stage of the criminal process and developed a strong foundation in litigation, legal research, and client representation. Her experience required her to manage active caseloads while simultaneously navigating complex legal issues and working collaboratively with colleagues, investigators, and other professionals.

Ms. Hall’s experience as a public defender continues to influence her approach to civil litigation. Her background taught her the importance of preparation, and effective communication while also reinforcing the value of treating every client and opposing party with professionalism and respect.

Ms. Hall is licensed to practice law in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Hall is deeply committed to serving the legal profession and her local community. She currently serves as Secretary of the Washington Bar Association, Inc., where she contributes to the organization’s leadership and supports its efforts to advance the legal profession and strengthen the communities it serves. Through her involvement with the bar association, Ms. Hall remains committed to professional development, mentorship, networking, and creating opportunities for attorneys to connect and grow. Ms. Hall remains passionate about advocacy both inside and outside of the courtroom.
