Alyssa Campbell

Alyssa Campbell, a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, serves as Associate General Counsel for Labor, Employment and Immigration at Syracuse University, where she provides strategic legal counsel on a wide range of complex labor and employment matters. Her practice encompasses advising University leaders and stakeholders on employee and labor relations, regulatory compliance, equal opportunity, and state and federal anti-discrimination law, as well as workplace accommodations, employment-based immigration, and the development of best practices for employee processes.

A central focus of her work is providing legal guidance on faculty and staff hiring and retention initiatives and tenure and promotion processes, while supporting the creation and implementation of equitable policies and programs that advance these institutional priorities.

Beyond her professional practice, Alyssa is deeply invested in strengthening the Syracuse community where she was raised. She currently serves as President of the William Herbert Johnson Minority Bar Association of Central New York and is co-founder of a local foundation dedicated to serving unhoused individuals and those facing poverty in the city. As Social Action Chair for the Syracuse Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she leads voter registration and civic education efforts throughout the community. She also lends her legal expertise to numerous community boards committed to delivering holistic financial, health, legal, and social services to families in need across Syracuse.
