Brandi Pikes

Brandi D. Pikes is a litigation and investigation attorney who believes that the best way to serve God is by serving others. From public school teacher to community organizer to law firm associate to national political campaign attorney to federal law clerk, Brandi has prioritized thoughtful communication, sound judgment, and integrity.

Brandi began her legal career representing clients in education and employment matters before joining an Am Law 50 firm, where she handled complex disputes at the trial and appellate levels and advised clients on regulatory matters.

Her federal service includes serving as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Doris L. Pryor and the Honorable Joshua P. Kolar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the Honorable Jonathan J.C. Grey of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

In 2024, Brandi served as States Counsel of the Eastern Region for the Biden for President and Harris for President campaigns. She conducted internal investigations and advised on employment, voting, campaign finance, and other matters.

Brandi is committed to diversifying the judicial clerkship pipeline and strengthening the legal profession through her bar association work. She serves as the 2026–2027 Assembly Speaker of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. As Speaker, Brandi presides over the YLD Assembly and determines which policy matters come before it. She also serves on the ABA Section of Litigation’s Council.

Brandi has received honors including the American Bar Association’s On The Rise—Top 40 Young Lawyer Award, the National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Ronda F. Williams Professionalism Award, Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s Leader of Tomorrow Award, and the National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 in Texas.
