Demetrius Mccloud

Demetrius McCloud is a Detroit native, entrepreneur, and founder of The McCloud Firm. A top-of-his-class graduate of Howard University School of Law, where he received his J.D., he began his legal career at Kirkland & Ellis, where he advised on complex corporate transactions and acquisitions involving some of the world’s largest companies. His desire remained to build and protect wealth and serve as an advocate for those who too often lack access, he became a voice within the systems. Driven by that vision, Demetrius practice counsels public and privately held companies on corporate mergers and acquisitions, to bridge the gap between sophisticated legal advocacy and the communities for founders that need it most. Today, his firm represents individuals and businesses, navigating life’s most challenging moments.

Beyond his professional practice, he also serves as a board member of Cook County Bar Association, Top 40 Under 40 honoree, and is among the relatively small percentage of Black male attorneys in America who own and operate their own law firms. He is committed to expanding access to justice, creating pathways to entrepreneurship, and ensuring that institutions that reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.

Outside of his legal practice, Demetrius is an avid international traveler and is a devoted son, mentor, and community advocate. As the creator of the Legal Snipers® brand, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi he operates principles that build and pour into the mentorship of the next generation’s of advocators expanding access to justice and future attorneys.
