Shari Trahan

Shari’s commitment to advocacy and empowerment is evident through her distinguished legal career and community service.

A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Southern University Law Center, she has held pivotal roles, including prosecutor in Fulton and Clayton county as well as in-house counsel for GEICO. However, she later founded the Law Office of Shari Trahan to fight for the rights of the injured.

Her dedication to equity extends beyond the courtroom as Vice-Chair of the Black Women’s Mental Health Institute, a non-profit organization that not only provides free mental health counseling to black women and girls, but seeks to diversify the mental health professional space. Further, Shari is committed to education as she serves as an adjunct professor preparing the next generation of attorneys. Recently, Shari was recognized amongst her peers in the personal injury community as, “Attorney of the Year.”

As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc, “service to all mankind” is evidenced by her philanthropic efforts to local non-profits such as Atlanta Community Food Bank, Crowns of Love, Southern University Atlanta Chapter, Dignify-A-Diva, and ChangeMart. Shari’s leadership, passion for justice, and community impact make her a compelling choice for Power 100.

On a more personal level, Shari is always willing to help, contribute her time and share her knowledge with others. She is a confidant and a trusted advisor to many.
