Alyssa Gordon

Alyssa Gordon is a civil rights attorney at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s Justice in Public Safety Project in Washington, D.C., where she employs litigation, policy advocacy, and community organizing to challenge racialized police violence and expand public safety alternatives to law enforcement. She previously served as a Borchard Fellow at the ACLU National Prison Project, where she worked to expand the use of compassionate release laws as a means of reducing mass incarceration and litigated cases to better protect the civil rights of incarcerated people. After graduating from law school, Alyssa clerked for U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts of the Eastern District of Michigan.
