Candace Arrington

Candace Arrington is the Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Sony Music Entertainment, where her focus is commercial contracts, trademarks, and marketing. Previously in private practice, Candace focused on the intellectual property needs of a diverse client base, including fashion designers, musicians, nonprofits, publishers, painters, and photographers. She has significant experience with the clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and licensing of trademarks and copyrights. Her experience also includes resolving disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Candace was named to the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Centennial Class. She fundraises as a Board Member for the Friends of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, and serves on the Associate Board of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Candace is active within the International Trademark Association, and she is a member of the New York City Bar Association Entertainment Law Committee.

Candace received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she graduated with distinction in the Intellectual Property Concentration. Candace is also a proud graduate of Spelman College and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. An avid heavy metal fan, Candace is an ardent advocate for the protection of artists’ rights.
