Cara Davis Little is a dedicated legal strategist and educator whose career blends federal service with a passion for empowering the next generation of attorneys. A 2014 graduate of Southern University Law Center, Cara began her legal journey in the private sector before transitioning to public service in 2019. Now in her sixth year at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, she plays a pivotal role in shaping agency policy and safeguarding it from litigation through proactive, risk-mitigating counsel.
Known for her zealous advocacy and legal foresight, Cara has earned multiple recognitions within the VA for her commitment to excellence and unwavering support of the agency’s mission. Her approach centers on anticipating legal issues before they escalate, reinforcing the rule of law, and guiding internal stakeholders through complex regulatory landscapes with clarity and precision.
Parallel to her federal work, Cara is a passionate bar exam educator, where she teaches law students not just how to pass the Uniform Bar Exam, but how to navigate the legal profession with integrity and confidence. She creates a familial, supportive environment for her students—prioritizing honesty, transparency, and long-term mentorship that extends beyond test day.
At home, Cara is the heart of a vibrant family life. She is married to her college sweetheart and is a devoted mother to two spirited daughters. She finds joy in reading historical fiction and romance, curating unforgettable events, and escaping to sunny beach destinations with her husband.
