Chloé Raquel Woods
Chloé R. Woods is a licensed attorney, air force veteran, and training facilitator with experience providing legal counsel to government and private organizations, representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings. As a 10 year practicing attorney transitioning from litigation to policy and strategic planning, she has truly charted her own path and not followed a traditional trajectory of what one’s career in the legal profession can be.
In 2016, Chloé launched a litigation consulting firm that ghostwrites responsive pleadings and appeals for other practitioners; freeing them up to handle marketing and law practice management. With D,E, & I efforts near and dear to her heart, Chloé ran the National Bar Associate Advancement Academy for Excellence, a diversity pipeline program for new lawyers from 2021 – 2024. A former National Chair for the National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, she is currently President-Elect of the Arizona Black Bar and the sole Black woman on the State Bar of Arizona Board of Governors – the mandatory bar for Arizona’s 27,000 attorneys.
Ms. Woods received her Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Masters in Policy from Arizona State University, and Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in the City of New York, where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Incorporated. Recognized within the profession, Ms. Woods was selected by the National Bar Association for the 40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates Award, the Arizona Black Bar “Rising Star” Award; the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division “On The Rise” Award, Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals “YP Rising” Award; Missouri Lawyers Association “Leader of Tomorrow” Award; and as a Fellow of the American Bar Association, an honor only bestowed on 1% of the lawyers in any jurisdiction. Chloé resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her daughter, Aspen.
