Colin is an attorney, AI governance enthusiast and evangelist, and an emerging thought leader in the nascent AI governance field. Since pivoting to the field in 2023 through his practical work at Bloomberg, Colin has quickly become a go-to voice in AI governance.
Understanding the importance of ensuring an equitable pipeline exist into AI governance and other fields AI emerging as a result of the AI boom, Colin founded Tech Law Culture—a community that seeks to diversify the pipeline into tech for lawyers and compliance professionals.
Colin has worked for Bloomberg Industry Group working on its Product Team as a Principal SME for Capital Markets and AI Governance, where he has written content and spoken on both topics. He now focuses his work on helping educate law schools on how to leverage AI responsibly. Colin serves as Co-Executive Editor for the first-of-its-kind AI Governance Textbook sponsored by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a globally recognized gate-keeper for the Privacy and AI Governance field and also serves on IAPP’s AI Governance Training Advisory Board. Along with Nicholas Austin, Colin teaches a class on Technology and the Law at Howard University Law School.
