Dr. Wallene Bullard-Battle
Dr. Wallene Bullard is a board-certified pharmacist and strategic healthcare leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, consulting, industry, and academia. She currently serves as Director, Value Evidence Lead at Novartis, where she partners with payers, health systems, and population health decision-makers to design solutions that advance patient access and improve outcomes.
She is co-founder of MIME, LLC, a woman- and minority-owned management and consulting firm based in Maryland, through which she supports clients across public and private sectors: health systems, independent pharmacy, and community organizations. Her work has included health disparities research, policy consulting, and international service, with engagements in Nigeria, Ethiopia, the Caribbean, and more. She is also deeply invested in mentoring, professional development, and entrepreneurship for minority pharmacists. In 2020, she launched the Minority Pharmacist Entrepreneur Conference (MPECrx), which has helped hundreds of students and pharmacists explore entrepreneurial pathways beyond traditional settings.
Wallene earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 1994 as valedictorian, followed by residency training in California. She is certified in pharmacotherapy and physical assessment, licensed in multiple states plus DC, and serves as an adjunct professor at Howard University. Her honors include the 2014 Bowl of Hygeia Award and the Howard University College of Pharmacy Legacy Award. She is past president of the Howard University Pharmacy Alumni Association and a Trustee of the National Pharmaceutical Association Foundation.
