Elysia Ross

Elysia is an experienced pharmacist with a strong background in medication dispensing, healthcare counseling, and patient-centered care. With a career that began as a pharmacy technician for six years, she transitioned to become a licensed community pharmacist in 2012. Since then, she has proudly served the communities she grew up in as both a staff pharmacist and pharmacy manager, consistently delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of prescription accuracy and operational excellence.

Deeply committed to inclusive, culturally competent care, Elysia is passionate about advocating for her community and advancing health equity in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Whether through serving at community service events or responding to late-night medication questions from loved ones, she continues to be a reliable and compassionate resource for those around her.

Elysia is a proud alumna of Howard University and Xavier University of Louisiana, and a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Phi Lambda Sigma, and the Krewe of Athena. One of her proudest accomplishments is serving as the Secretary of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), where her dedication to representing minority pharmacists and championing racial and health equity remains unwavering. Her work aligns deeply with the mission of the NPhA, to support underrepresented communities and elevate the standards of pharmaceutical care for all.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Elysia enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, dancing, cooking and baking, exploring new adventures, watching basketball, and embracing life’s joyful moments. Her greatest hope is to see everyone around her thrive and win.
