Geden Franck
Dr. Geden Franck’s work focuses on sports medicine, non-surgical orthopedics and helping patients achieve their full physical potential. He currently serves as Head Sports Medicine Physician at Memorial Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center, part of Memorial Healthcare System, where his approach emphasizes personalized, collaborative and compassionate care. He also serves as a non-surgical sports medicine physician for Florida Memorial University Athletics.
Prior to joining Memorial, Geden completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Miami Sports Medicine Institute, where he served as a team physician for University of Miami athletics and the Miami Marlins. He later worked as academic faculty and Sports Medicine Director in Houston, serving as a team physician for the University of Houston and Houston Baptist University before returning home to South Florida.
Geden has received recognition throughout his career for both medicine and service. He was inducted into the Florida State University College of Medicine Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2024 and was previously inducted into the Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame. His earlier honors include selection as an AMSSM Össur Americas Fellowship Member and NIH-NMA Academic Fellow.
A Miami native and the son of Haitian immigrants, Geden grew up in Little Haiti and has made mentorship and community service important parts of his career. He attended Miami Dade College’s Honors College before earning his bachelor’s degree from Emory University and completing his medical degree and graduate training at Florida State University. He completed his residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
