Jacquelyn S. Johnson, a Chicago native, resides in Atlanta where she practices Labor & Employment Law for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Prior to joining the Federal Aviation Administration, Ms. Johnson practiced Labor and Employment law at an AM Law 100 firm, and for a local Government. Additionally, Ms. Johnson previously worked for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as an Investigator, where she conducted over 1000
investigations into claims of Employment Discrimination. Ms. Johnson’s commitment to helping foster healthy and positive work environments for individuals in the workplace extends beyond litigating cases, advising, educating, and providing training to her clients, it also includes helping draft more inclusive language for workplace policies to ensure all employees feel welcomed and valued. Ms. Johnson has a sincere passion for the law and civil rights issues.
Ms. Johnson’s outside advocacy work includes being the current Membership Chair for the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, where the membership committee seeks not only to increase membership and active participation but also assists in enhancing and developing women lawyers as they pursue their interests and goals. Additionally, Ms. Johnson served as the 2022-
2023 Co-Chair of the Social Justice Committee for the National Bar Association-Young Lawyer Division, where the committee brought together Black leaders to discuss ways to better work together to pursue social justice and equality within communities. Ms. Johnson has volunteered with the Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys, to promote women leaders and provide scholarships for law students. Ms. Johnson has also volunteered her time to register voters, work polling precincts, and perform door-to-door canvassing and phone banking to help elect local and state leaders.
Ms. Johnson has a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University Chicago, a Master of Arts from Roosevelt University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School) and she is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Georgia. Ms. Johnson is an active member of several Bar Associations and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
