Jason Ryan Yancey is the proud founder of Yancey Legal Group, PLLC. A private personal injury and criminal defense firm based in Houston, TX. It is through this vessel that he continues to help spark a change for criminal justice and juvenile justice reform.
A graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, and Southern University Law Center, Jason has clerked and interned at a multitude of City, Municipal, and District Courts in Civil and Criminal centers throughout Texas and Louisiana. Additionally, Jason served through the Texas State Congress as a legal intern for State Senator Rodney Ellis. It is during his time with Senator Ellis that he was able to develop his no-nonsense approach to justice, whether through personal injury or criminal defense litigation.
As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Inc., through its motto “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All”, Jason impacts the community by his commitment to service through the National Bar Association, Juvenile Justice Reform, Criminal Justice Reform, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, Cantu’s Books, and zealous indigent defense work.
Jason is a proud father of 3 and a husband to his beautiful wife, Jasmine, who is a Felony Public Defender in Harris County, Houston, Texas. He is extremely proud to represent a household of civil servants and passionate advocates for justice!
