Kevin Jones

Attorney Kevin L. Jones is an accomplished trial attorney, educator, national bar leader, and community servant whose career reflects a commitment to justice, excellence, and service. He currently serves as Claims Litigation Counsel for State Farm in Houston, where he manages complex civil litigation and draws on extensive experience in motions practice, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and trials. Previously, Kevin served as a felony prosecutor in the Queens County and Harris County District Attorneys’ Offices.

Kevin began his collegiate career at Morehouse College before earning his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College, graduating as Valedictorian. While there, he founded the Brown Skinned Scholars Study Group to promote academic excellence among young men of color and received honors including the National Action Network’s Man of Vision Award. He continues his commitment to education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Africana Studies and a member of Brooklyn College’s Black and Latino Male Initiative Advisory Board. Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he was a Bradley Fellow and received multiple honors for leadership and service.

A member of the National Bar Association Board of Governors since 2018, Kevin has chaired its Criminal Law and Juvenile Justice Section and currently serves as Chief of Staff to NBA President James J. Carter, Region V Director, and a member of the NBA Executive Board. His service also extends to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he currently serves as National Co-Chair of the Committee on Grievances and Discipline.

Through law, education, mentorship, and national leadership, Kevin has built a career grounded in principled advocacy and purposeful service.
