Madjeen Garcon-Bonneau
Madjeen Garcon-Bonneau is a Haitian American attorney from Brooklyn, now living in New Jersey. At Wilson Elser, she focuses on general liability defense, employment law, sexual abuse cases, and commercial disputes. Fluent in Haitian Creole, Madjeen advocates for her clients with cultural sensitivity and dedication.
She holds a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University. Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, she has experience in both public and private sectors, including civil rights and personal injury cases. At Wilson Elser, she has served as second chair in sexual harassment hearings and contributed to legal education and publications.
As president of the Haitian American Lawyers Association of New York (HALANY), Madjeen led initiatives such as professional seminars, community service, and diversity events, including a TPS clinic and a Women Equity Panel.
She is recognized for her work in employment law, handling complex litigation, including cases under the Adult Survivors Act and Child Victims Act. Madjeen also serves as Secretary and Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division for the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, is a board member for HALANY and the Caribbean Attorneys Network, and mentors aspiring attorneys.
Madjeen’s achievements include being named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers® Rising Stars™ for 2024 and receiving awards from the National Bar Association. She remains committed to making a positive impact in the legal field and her community.
