Marque Macon

Marque Macon is a visionary healthcare executive and industrial engineer with more than 15 years of progressive leadership across multi-billion-dollar health systems. He currently serves as Vice President & Administrator of Ambulatory Operations and Physician & APP Services at Inova Health, where he leads a $900M division encompassing 290+ ambulatory sites, 2,500 team members, and over 3.5 million annual patient encounters. In this role, he partners closely with hospital and service line presidents to drive system alignment, strategic growth, and high-performing care delivery.

Prior to Inova, Marque served as Assistant Vice President of Atrium Health’s Clinically Integrated Network in Charlotte, NC, where he led strategy and performance for value-based care initiatives covering 660,000+ lives. His earlier leadership at Loyola Medicine included practice operations and system redesign.

Marque holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA in Operations Management from Loyola University Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

He currently serves as Regent for the American College of Healthcare Executives (DC & Northern Virginia) and is a former Board Member of the Clemson University Alumni Association (2022–2025). Marque has also served as President of the National Association of Health Services Executives – North Carolina Chapter and as adjunct faculty at UNC Charlotte. He has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as a 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree and by Becker’s Healthcare as one of the “75 Black Healthcare Leaders to Know.”

Originally from Gadsden, South Carolina, Marque is passionate about building inclusive, efficient, and people-centered health systems that improve outcomes for all. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, the outdoors, and cheering on his Clemson Tigers.
