Maurice Roberson
Moe Roberson counsels public and privately held companies on corporate tax matters, focusing on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, investment management structures, and nonprofit organizations. He helps clients structure deals tax-efficiently, assess risks, and navigate evolving regulatory frameworks, combining technical analysis with practical business insight.
A graduate of Anacostia Senior High School in Southeast Washington, D.C., Moe earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude, majoring in Africana Studies with minors in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (Human Rights) and Philosophy of Law. He served in the United States military, deploying to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and successfully owned and operated a business before entering law.
Moe earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, he served as a summer associate at Faegre Drinker for two consecutive years.
Since 2022, Moe has served on the Washington Bar Association Board of Directors, reflecting his commitment to the belief that legal excellence and public service must advance hand in hand.
In his free time, Moe tends to his orchard of over 200 fig trees and gardens a variety of herbs, vegetables, and fruits with his son.
