Mecca Vance is a passionate advocate for the underserved and disadvantaged. As an emerging leader with an authentic and bold approach, bringing nearly ten years of nonprofit experience, she is positioned as a promising talent on the rise. Early in her career, she laid a strong foundation at Johns Hopkins University’s Summer Business Academy, where she was awarded first place in the inaugural class for her strategic insights supporting Strong City Baltimore. She continues to expand her impact through a range of leadership roles. Currently, she serves as a board member for the Judith Diane Jackson Scholarship Fund.

As a 2017 scholarship recipient, she decided to return and support the organization that had been so instrumental in her undergraduate success at Howard University. There, she contributes to scholarship recipient selection, assists with strategic initiatives, and supports fundraising efforts that advance the organization’s mission. In the legal community, she has served in leadership roles with the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association (MABLSA) for two consecutive years, first as Vice Chair (2024–2025) and now as Chair (2025–2026). s

She also directs the MABLSA Journal for Race and Policy, where she oversees publication strategy and content development. Overall, she continues to strengthen corporate partnerships, advance community engagement, and foster financial growth strategies that enhance the MABLSA’s reach and influence. Additionally, she serves on the National Board of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), extending her leadership and advocacy to the national stage. Reflecting her dedication to both professional and academic excellence, she expects to earn her Juris Doctor at William & Mary Law School in May 2026.
