Priscilla Nyankson
Priscilla is a senior litigation associate at Covington & Burling LLP, where she represents clients in high-profile matters at the intersection of technology, public policy, and consumer protection. She has served on trial teams in major patent infringement cases on the plaintiff side, defended leading pharmaceutical and technology companies in multi-state litigation, and regularly advises on disputes implicating public trust and consumer welfare. She is recognized for her precision, judgment, and ability to navigate high-stakes litigation with rigor and strategy.
Her practice also reflects a deep commitment to pro bono advocacy. She has defended indigent D.C. residents in landlord-tenant disputes, including through a pro bono rotation at the Neighborhood Legal Services Program, and has represented immigrants seeking asylum as well as criminal defendants in serious felony matters, including murder trials—all guided by her belief that justice must remain accessible to those most in need.
Outside of her casework, Priscilla is a leader within her firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. She has spearheaded affinity-group programming and launched initiatives that create candid spaces for mentorship, professional development, and connection. Known for blending rigor with humor and creativity, she is committed to building new models of community and leadership in Big Law to ensure Black attorneys thrive.
Priscilla earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, her LLM from the University of Amsterdam, and
Her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate of the National Bar Association’s Advancement Academy and the recipient of the peer-selected Tricia C.K. Hoffler Award, honoring the fellow who demonstrates the greatest commitment to building community and serving as a resource to others. She has been recognized for her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to amplifying Black voices within the profession and beyond.
