Sandra Pruitt currently serves as Executive Director of the People for Change Coalition a membership coalition representing over 350 nonprofits and minority businesses who mission is to develop the nonprofit and minority business sector by providing assessment, support and expansion services.
As founder of two Black Chambers, 2017 in Prince George’s County, MD and 2022 in Tampa, FL, she advocates for expansion, growth and access to economic opportunities for small and black owned businesses.
Over the past 6 years, she successfully launched a unique public private partnership to create an innovative summer program that utilizes entrepreneurs to expose and train middle school students in cyber, app development, chess, robotics, animation, drones, graphic and presentation design, and media arts.
She is the former Chair of the Advisory Board of the Workforce Development, TeamBuilders Academy at Prince George’s Community College and brings over 23 years of experience in the nonprofit sector of which nine were spent at Independent Sector (IS) where she was responsible for membership recruitment, retention, database management, conference and event planning, and managing data for a $10 million grants campaign. Her later years at (IS) were spent as Director of Technology, Finance, and Human Resources. In 1997 she formed Strategic Technology Solutions working with nonprofits and businesses to streamline operations and improve overall mission and goals.
