Shameeka Quallo

Shameeka Quallo’s work focuses on sports law, corporate governance, risk management and organizational strategy. She currently serves as Chief Legal Officer of the Washington Spirit, where she is a strategic legal and business advisor to the organization and its leadership. Shameeka joined the Spirit in 2023 as Vice President and General Counsel, advising across the organization’s business operations and helping support the continued growth and transformation of the professional women’s soccer club.

Prior to joining the Spirit, Shameeka spent five years with the Chicago Cubs, where she served as Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In that role, she led sponsorship negotiations, managed litigation, contractual and employment matters and helped develop and implement the organization’s DEI strategy. Shameeka previously served as Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Multicultural Affairs for International Speedway Corporation and as Associate Counsel for the LPGA. Before becoming an attorney, she spent 10 years with the National Futures Association, developing extensive experience in financial regulation, compliance and risk assessment.

Beyond her professional work, Shameeka has held leadership and service roles with USA Weightlifting, the James R. Jordan Boys & Girls Club and Junior Achievement of Volusia County. She is also a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

A former track and field athlete, Shameeka earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and her bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. John’s University, where she attended on a full athletic scholarship.
