Shantel Upshaw Houston

Shantel Upshaw Houston, PharmD graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2018 from USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy in Tampa, FL. She then completed the University of North Carolina (UNC) Eshelman School of Pharmacy PGY-1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program at Moose Pharmacy in Concord, NC.

Following residency, Dr. Upshaw Houston served as Clinical Coordinator for Premier Pharmacy and Wellness Center in Charlotte, NC, where she implemented clinical programs and research projects that diversified revenue and enhanced patient care delivery. She then transitioned to the role of Associate Director of Education and Committee Structure at the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).

Dr. Upshaw Houston served as NPhA Zone II Director from 2022-2024, winning Zone Director of the Year two years in a row. She is also the President & CEO of HoustonRx Consulting, Interim Executive Vice President of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), and Creative Director for the Minority Pharmacist Entrepreneur Collaborative (MPECrx).
