Simeon Wright

Simeon N. Wright III is an associate attorney at Gerben IP, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property law. A proud graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law (Class of 2022), Simeon has quickly established himself as a rising voice in the IP field, helping creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses protect the ideas and brands they’ve built.

Originally from Monrovia, Liberia, Simeon carries a deep connection to his heritage — a connection that shapes both his personal identity and his professional commitment to ensuring underrepresented communities have access to the legal protection and information.

Beyond his practice, Simeon is an active leader in Washington, D.C.’s legal and cultural communities. He serves on the board of Empact Art, championing the role of arts and culture in civic life, and is a former Assistant Secretary of the Washington Bar Association, where he contributed to advancing the organization’s mission of supporting Black legal professionals and the communities they serve.

Simeon’s work sits at the intersection of law, culture, and community — a combination that continues to distinguish him as one of the DMV’s most promising young attorneys.
